The enmity is not ancient. It is no more than 63 years old.
Hindus and Muslims have co-existed in India and are still doing so. There is no religious persecution of any kind what so ever. India is the only Country where all religions of the world live and practice without fear. A large family of this size with diverse cultures and religions will also have differences, yet they are no longer the basis for indulging in blood and gore which was very much there previously. Maturity among the people is on the rise and has reached a level where passions do not get inflamed. Discussion, debates and if need be legal battles are forming the basis of resolutions of differences.

1. India's difference with Pakistan are not exclusive domain of Hindu's if the author was to explore he would be surprised a majority of Indians who are his coreligionists share a common opinion with the rest of Indians.

2. Geographical formations have been changed and are subject to change depending on the dynamics of politics of that era. History at best remains untouched but is repackaged for the people of a country to suit the needs of that era.

3. Suffering from a superiority complex due to presentation of history would be self defeating as is evident from the current status of Pakistan.

4. Individually people of Pakistan get along very well with people from India. The collective psyche is where the problem lies. What bewilders us is how the same individual changes so drastically once he becomes part of the establishment in Pakistan.

5. Pakistan's angst towards India is misplaced. Author has gone into the history then he should also have realized that there are no recorded instance of Hindu's having mounted any conquests in far off lands to spread their religion.

6. Since the roots are the same for the people of our region then why look for reason to continue down the path which has destruction written all over it in bold letters. Accept the ground realities and establish a relationship which will promote peace.
Finally this machismo being bandied as a superiority complex is in fact a manifestation of a deep seated inferiority complex which in hampering resolution of the issue.Anil Kohlihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03216814999818533895noreply@blogger.com
